Youth Basketball
Registration for the 2023-2024 MA Athletics (MAA) youth basketball season is closed. The registration fee is $165. There is an optional T-shirt purchase as part of registration. MAA Basketball participates in the Monrovia Parks and Recreation Association (MPRA) league. Registration is to play on an MA team fielded primarily by MA students and coaches. The goal is to have approximately eight players per team to help maximize playing time and development for the kids. Each rec league team will play approximately ten regular season games followed by a post-season tournament.
Practices are tentatively scheduled to start at the end of October. Games are tentatively scheduled to start at the beginning of December and end by the middle of February. 6U Girls who register will participate on the 6U Coed team. The MPRA plans to have separate boys and girls teams this season for 6U. If MAA has enough 6U girls and a coach, then a girls-only team will be formed.
