Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction – Upper School
Madison Academy is seeking a 12 month Upper School Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction starting July 2025. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of curriculum and instruction as it applies to best practices within the school setting coupled with a developed relationship with the Lord. This position requires active engagement and high support of all upper school personnel. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and innovative, always striving toward excellence. The candidate will be expected to collaborate with colleagues and communicate with staff, students, and parents.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field (Doctorate preferred).
- A desire to serve instructional staff within the school to proactively meet needs and advocate on their behalf.
- Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, preferably at the high school level.
- Prior experience in a leadership or curriculum/instructional role.
- Strong understanding of current best practices in secondary education.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Competencies: Assist teachers with resources, materials, tools, information, etc. to support classroom instruction and planning, including new resources.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serve instructional personnel to increase effectiveness and efficiency across all content areas.
* Oversee adoption of instructional materials, including textbooks and digital resources.
* Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, graduation requirements, and state/federal academic guidelines, including review of curriculum handbook, implementation of new courses and refinement of current programs.

- Upper School Band Director
Madison Academy is seeking a full-time Band Director for the band program. This individual would oversee both a middle school and high school concert band in addition to a fall marching band. The ideal candidate has prior experience in school band with knowledge of music, pedagogy, and application for students coupled with a developed relationship with the Lord. This position requires collaboration with other fine arts instructional staff and administration as needed. We are seeking an experienced candidate who is degreed in K-12 music education with prior band director experience and/or is certified to teach in the state of Alabama.

Madison Academy is seeking a full-time Upper School Art teacher starting in August 2025. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of art concepts coupled with a developed relationship with the Lord. This position requires active engagement and support, creating a positive classroom environment, and the ability to adjust your teaching methods as needed to support diverse learning styles. The candidate will be expected to collaborate with colleagues. We are seeking a candidate who is experienced in teaching both middle school and high school and is degreed in secondary art education and/or certified to teach in the state of Alabama.

- Bridge Teacher - Upper School (Grades 7-12)
Madison Academy is seeking a full-time Upper School Bridge Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate should have experience in secondary special education coupled with a developed relationship with the Lord. This position requires active engagement and high support of students within the Bridge Program.
Collaborate with instructional personnel to support student success.

Elementary Media Specialist
Madison Academy is seeking a Media Specialist at the 2nd-6th grade elementary school. This position plays a vital role in supporting academic enrichment within and outside of the classroom by integrating technology, media, and innovative learning tools. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in a media specialist role at the elementary level coupled with a deep and developed relationship with the Lord. The media specialist will be expected to support both the media center and classroom teachers to enhance educational experiences for all learners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Media, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Prior experience working in educational settings, particularly with technology integration in classrooms.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to engage students, teachers, and parents.

MA Security Officer
Madison Academy is seeking a full-time professional security guard to join our team. The ideal will be committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for our students, staff, and visitors coupled with a developed relationship with the Lord. This position requires the ability to proactively monitor our expansive campus while utilizing policies and procedures set forth by the campus security team.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and patrol the school campus to ensure a safe and secure environment.
Respond to security breaches, disturbances, or emergencies promptly and efficiently. - Provide assistance during school events and activities.
- Enforce school policies and regulations regarding security, access control, and visitor management.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of incidents, activities, and any issues that arise.
- Collaborate with school administration and staff to address any security concerns or needs.
- Participate in regular safety drills and training sessions.

Madison Academy is seeking a full-time custodian. The person who fulfills this position is accepting a very important role in the functioning of the school by maintaining cleanliness and prevention of illness. The custodian should strive for excellence, promote a safe school environment, and communicate effectively with the administrative staff and faculty. Under a spirit of collaboration, love and concern for friendliness and helpfulness, the custodian helps the school achieve its mission under the supervision of the Director of Facilities and Operations and Madison Academy’s Principal. A custodian should maintain confidentiality and professionalism while performing assigned tasks and relating with students and staff.
