Is Madison Academy recognized as an accredited school?
Madison Academy holds accreditation from both the National Christian School Association and Cognia.  


Is Madison Academy a public or private institution?
Co-educational, private, Christian school Madison Academy serves students in grades PK4 through 12. 


Where is Madison Academy located?
Madison Academy is a beautiful 160-acre campus that is located on the border of Madison and Huntsville, Alabama. The U.S. Space and Rocket Center, Cummings Research Park, and Redstone Arsenal can all be reached in a matter of minutes.


Provide a list of the courses that Madison Academy offers to high school students.
A range of courses, including twenty-six honors, seven advanced placement, and sixteen dual enrollment courses, are offered at Madison Academy. In addition to studying the Bible, English, history, math, science, history, Spanish, art, band, chorus, drama, theatrical production, and life skills, students also study these subjects.


Is there a fine arts program at Madison Academy?
The visual arts, band, choir, and theater are among the extracurricular activities available at Madison Academy.


Is there a minimum age requirement to enroll in kindergarten?
For entry into our Kindergarten program, your child must turn five by September 1.


What is the typical class size at Madison Academy?
Preschool classes at Madison Academy typically have sixteen students per teacher and aide. There are approximately sixteen students for every teacher in kindergarten through fourth grade. There are typically eighteen students in each class from fifth through eighth grade. Twenty students per teacher is the typical class size for students in grades nine through twelve.


Is there a school nurse at Madison Academy?
The nurse at Madison Academy is a Registered Nurse Practitioner who has experience treating a wide range of medical conditions, including diabetes and epilepsy.


Does Madison Academy provide academic or athletic scholarships? 
Academic and athletic scholarships are NOT available at Madison Academy. Our families are eligible to apply for tuition assistance, a program that provides need-based financial aid. Madison Academy also accepts need-based scholarships from the Alabama Opportunity Scholarship, Rocket City SGO, and Scholarship for Kids programs.


Can a student transfer to Madison Academy and be immediately eligible to play sports if they receive financial assistance?
Any student who transfers to Madison Academy and receives financial aid is not allowed to compete in a varsity level sport for a full year after the transfer, per Alabama High School Athletic Association. Note: If a student transfers to Madison Academy for the first time in the seventh grade, this rule DOES NOT apply to them. This rule applies to seventh students who transfer to Madison Academy after the start of the academic year. 


Are uniforms required for students?
Madison Academy students wear "Spirit Wear," a casual uniform that includes khaki bottoms from any retailer and a Spirit Wear top that can be purchased through the Madison Academy School Store. For students in preschool and elementary school, t-shirt dresses are also available.
