Introducing Casey Farris

Dear Madison Academy Family,

As we near the end of the 2020-21 school year, the Board of Directors wants to give you an update regarding our search to select the sixteenth President of Madison Academy.

Ever since Dr. Davis informed us of his intention to retire at the end of this school year, we have been conducting a thorough search of potential candidates to lead our school. We have appreciated your prayers and support as we have striven to seek God’s will and have asked Him to direct our steps through this process. For the past 66 years, the mission of Madison Academy has been “to provide a quality education in a Christian environment, helping students grow in wisdom, in stature, and in favor with God and man.” It is with this goal in mind that we have sought a candidate who has the experience to help us build upon this mission and carry us into the next stage of excellence at Madison Academy.

Farris Family

With great joy and a sense of blessing we are pleased to announce our new Madison Academy President, effective with the beginning of the new school year, Mr. Casey Farris. Mr. Farris comes to Madison with his wife of 23 years, Tammy, and their five children: Will, 17; Lily, 15; Preston, 8; Ansley Joy, 5; and Hailey Rose, 3. They are coming to us from Brentwood, Tennessee, where they have been living while serving and attending Lipscomb Academy for the past four years.

While at Lipscomb Academy, Casey has served as the Associate Head of School for Advancement, Interim Head of School, and, most recently, the Associate Head of School for Middle School and Mustang Life. Before moving to Lipscomb, he was the Head of School at Cornerstone Christian Academy in Sugarland, Texas, and spent 15 years as a teacher and administrator at Westbury Christian School in Houston, Texas. Casey and Tammy met at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama, where they both graduated. After receiving his Bachelor of Science from Faulkner, he went on to receive his Masters in Education from the University of Houston-Victoria.

Since they have served in Christian education for the past 23 years, Casey and Tammy are already well known by several members of our Madison Academy family. They come to us with high recommendations and are committed to work hard to help Madison Academy continue to be an award winning seat of Christian education. Casey’s past roles as coach, teacher, principal, associate head of student life and advancement, and head of school are a strong foundation for his new leadership position at Madison Academy.

Dr. Davis and Mr. Farris have already spent time together and will continue this relationship as Casey transitions into his new role over the summer.

Please join us in welcoming Casey, Tammy and their children to our Madison Academy family. They are excited to be joining our school community and serving alongside us in the years to come. Let’s join the Farris family in prayer that this is a “holy juncture” in the life of their family and Madison Academy.
