MA Cross Country
Cross Country Team Qualifies for State Meet!
For the first time in school history, MA will be sending runners to the state cross country meet on Nov 14!
The girls and boys cross country teams travelled to Scottsboro on Nov 2 to participate in the sectional meet. Both teams finished 4th in the section. The boys finished behind Randolph, Catholic, and Brindlee Mountain. The girls finished behind Randoph, Catholic, and Pisgah.
Five of the boys (Josh Wolfe, Russell Grant, Michael Ruh, Tannon Hedges, and Nick Slaughter) qualified to run in the 3A Boys Final. Three of the boys set personal records in the race.
Four of the girls (Sarah Bailey, Emily West, Mary Fontenot, and Bailey Driggers) qualified to run in the 3A Girls Final. Sarah (11th) and Emily (19th) both had top 20 finishes. All six girls on the team set personal records at the race.
