We are grateful for your interest in Madison Academy. The success of our school is due in large part to the regular contributions and support of people who believe in the mission of the school and are dedicated to Christian education. Madison Academy is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c )3, and donations are tax deductible.
Ways To Give
Many of our supporters give systematically by way of electronic funds transfer (EFT) or by check. These regular donations provide consistent and reliable cash flow assistance. Donations can also be made online at macademy.org/donate
Many employers match gifts made by their current, as well as retired, employees. This is a simple way to double – and sometimes even triple – your gift to MA. Contact your employer or human resources office for instructions on how to match your gift to the school.
The future of MA depends on the generous support of friends, family, and alumni. Facility upgrades, expanded curricular offerings, and other special projects are not possible without the support of significant donations. Major gifts allow the school to promote excellence and to attract and retain the most capable and brightest students and faculty.
Capital Campaigns provide significant funds for growth such as endowment, construction/renovation, or large equipment purchases. Pledges (over a three to five year period) are encouraged.
Gifts to Endowment
Numerous donors have established endowments purposed to provide financial support benefiting the students of Madison Academy. Individuals, groups, and businesses may contribute gifts of cash, stocks, or sellable assets to the Foundation. An endowment is an independent school’s savings account that provides a reliable source of income in perpetuity. The following general endowment has been established:
- Cecil and Margaret Ashburn Endowment
Scholarships help MA’s commitment to meet the full financial need of all students. Named endowed scholarships are a meaningful way to leave a legacy, remember a loved one, or honor a favorite teacher. The following scholarships have been established:
- Melba Jones Bragg Scholarship Fund (endowed)
- James K. Taylor Scholarship Fund (endowed)
- Kimberly Pendergrass Scholarship Fund (endowed)
- A.L. Moore Scholarship Fund (endowed)
- Rosenblum Scholarship Fund (endowed)
- McDonald/Vaughn Scholarship Fund
- Ruth Rigsby Scholarship Fund
- Grady and Ruth Sugg Scholarship
Madison Academy encourages and appreciates estate gifts. Bequests are the most common way for donors to make their ultimate gift to the school. If you are interested in learning more about estate planning, we are grateful for the opportunity to visit with you as you make these important decisions for you and your family.
Securities, Property, Real Estate
Gifts of Appreciated Securities, Stocks, and Bonds provide considerable tax advantages when transferred to MA. Please contact us for more information.
Gifts made in honor of a loved one is a wonderful way to express accolades for a special event in someone’s life. Memorial gifts provide a special way to express condolences to a loved one experiencing loss. Honor and memorial donations are a heartfelt way to bless someone while benefiting the school at the same time.
You may wish to earmark your gift for a specific area of the school. We will be happy to designate your gift to a specific division, program or project.
