Car Line Info

In order for us to provide the safest environment possible during drop off/pick-up, we all have to do our part and be on the same page.

Please help by adhering to the procedures listed below.

DROP OFF
  1. Pull all the way forward to the small porch just north of the crosswalk.
  2. Please have your child ready to exit the car on the RIGHT side only.  (Exiting on the Left is exiting into through traffic)
  3. Do not pass the car in front of you.  Wait patiently for the car to proceed once their child has safely unloaded.  Our drive is too small for passing on the left.
  4. The left lane is for through traffic only.
  5. Please keep the crosswalk open, making our school easily handicap accessible.
  6. No loading or unloading before the small porch south of the crosswalk.
PICK-UP
  1. Please have car numbers clearly visible hanging from the rearview mirror.
  2. Pull all the way forward to the small porch just north of the crosswalk.
  3. Watch for directions given by the Elementary staff.  You will be directed when to move, as well as when it is safe for students to load.
  4. No loading or unloading before the small porch south of the crosswalk.
  5. Students will be directed as to when it is safe for them to load their vehicles
  6. When your child(ren) have loaded your vehicle, please remove your car number from the rearview mirror.
  7. Do not pass the car in front of you.  Wait patiently for the car to proceed once their child has safely loaded.  Our drive is too small for passing on the left.
  8. The left lane is for through traffic only.
  9. If asked to move to the gravel, please proceed cautiously to the gravel and park perpendicularly to the building.  Please do not parallel park next to the driveway.
  10. Maintain a slow rate of speed as children are everywhere.
GRAVEL- please know that if you are asked to move to the gravel, your student’s number has been called a minimum of 5 times.  Your student must make their way out to car line in a timely manner to prevent delaying their pick-up, this may take some encouragement from you.

What is going on inside?

  1. Students are sitting quietly in their classrooms listening for the car rider number.
  2. When their number is called, they get their things and make their way out the main entrance of the school.
  3. While on the porch, their job is to look for their car and wait until a staff member directs them to load their cars.
  4. Once loaded, your student is to remind you to remove your car number.
