Article III
Qualifications for Student Membership
Section 1. A Spanish teacher will nominate eligible students who meet all of the following criteria:
a. Students must be actively enrolled in a Spanish class at the time of initiation.
b. Students must be in the 3rd semester of Spanish or higher.
c. Students must maintain at least a 93 average in Spanish and have no conduct above a “2”.
d. Transfer students must have spent one full semester in the program before eligibility.
e. No initiation is to take place earlier than the tenth grade. (No freshmen can be initiated.)
f. Character, leadership, service and commitment to others are also determiners in selection.
g. Students must have an overall GPA of 3.25 or higher.
