DRESS CODE (Regular School Hours)
All students are expected to wear SpiritWear purchased from Educational Outfitters. Any exceptions made for field trips and designated special times will be approved by the elementary or the upper school principal.
All items of student dress must be modest and in good taste.
Items of dress not permitted include but are not limited to:- Pants worn low to expose the midriff or underwear
- Tight-fitting, form-revealing pants/shirts
- Skirts/dresses hemmed or slit more than 3 inches above the kneecap
- No outer shirts are to be worn over Spirit Wear shirts.
- No sagging or excessively baggy pants are to be worn
- Boys ’ hair is to be worn off the ears, eyes and collar. Any facial hair is to be neatly trimmed.
- Girls ’ hair is to be worn out of the eyes.
- Boys' and girls ’ hair color should be of naturally colored hair.
- No hats or hair coverings are to be worn indoors.
- No tattoos or body piercing (girls are allowed 2 earrings per ear;boys are not).
- No sweat pants (except approved knit/nylon sport pants with waistband and pockets.).
- No t-shirts. On Fridays students may wear team issued t-shirts or clothing, Madison Academy Booster Club apparel or other school approved wear.
- No clothing that is cult, satanic or gang related is permitted.
- No trench coats or coats worn at inappropriate times.
