HUNTSVILLE, AL. -- Madison Academy beat Randolph 21-0 and Westminster 10-0 at Westminster in jamboree action Friday night. Randolph edged Westminster 3-0 in the first of the three one-quarter matchups.

Against Randolph, Madison Academy's Joe Dobson threw touchdown passes of 34 and 56 yards to Kameron Jackson. Khyle Jackson scored on an 11-yard run, and Bennett Smith kicked the extra points.

Against Westminster, Smith kicked a 31-yard field goal, and Chris Clouser threw a 37-yard TD pass to Kameron Jackson.

"The varsity played hard," Madison Academy coach Eric Cohu said. "We've got to clean up some execution, a little sloppy."

Yesterday was a special day for the Matthews family and Madison Academy, as Senior receiver Jordan Matthews signed with Vanderbilt on a football scholarship. Jordan made a huge impact on Mustang football racking up an impressive 1113 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns for the 2009 season. We are proud of Jordan and his accomplishments on and off the field. His example has made a large impression on fellow students and teammates. We wish him success at Vanderbilt as he joins the Commodores!
