At
Consisting of Board Members, individuals selected by the Board, and a representative of the Administration, the Admissions Committee makes admissions decisions based on consideration of an applicant’s standardized test scores, academic performance, behavioral maturity, teacher recommendations and the potential of the student and family to enhance the culture of the school community. Accordingly, the following areas of interest are used by the Committee in determining admission:
Academic Ability and Performance: The Committee is interested in knowing the applicant’s academic potential, to assure that he/she will benefit from the expectations of the school’s college preparatory curriculum. Therefore, if he/she has not already done so, an applicant may be asked to take the Otis-Lennon Placement Test prior to completing the admissions process. Prior academic performance, standardized test scores, and other objective measures will be reviewed to determine if an applicant can succeed in our academic program.
Character and Values: By our mission statement, we seek to provide an environment of Christian values in which to learn and grow. Evidence of character traits such as integrity, respect for others and self, and responsibility are valued in the admissions process.
Extracurricular Interests, Talents, and Achievements: A well-rounded school community is important in the development of the well-rounded student, and the Admissions Committee understands that each student brings different talents to the school community. Where these talents enhance the overall student experience, the Admissions Committee will consider these in light of.that potential.
