The faculty at Madison Academy is committed to meeting and exceeding the academic requirements of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Our state-of-the-art facilities, including laboratories, libraries, gymnasiums, and studios, are only the foundation of our academic strength. They provide the tools necessary to equip an unequaled collection of talented and highly motivated educators.
Preschool through fifth grade students focus on age-appropriate fundamentals and are taught their primary subjects by one teacher in a well-equiped, self-contained classroom. Special teachers and class space are provided for art, music, and physical education. The elementary school has its own library. Computer skills are taught at all grade levels, and enrichment programs are provided as incentive for exceptional students.
Junior and Senior High School curriculums place a premium on critical thinking and student performance. All courses are designed to have students working at the height of their ability with some more advanced class material equivalent to freshman college studies. The school schedule is an eight-period-day designed to allow students the opportunity to take more elective classes.
